My Ride: 2004 545i Sport Package, not really sure what else :p

Hey, I have a 2004 545i that has the small iDrive screen. I was wondering if it's practical to have a NAV system installed at this point. Has anyone upgraded to the 8.8" screen w/ NAV, if so how much was the dealer quote.
I'm also thinking about getting the iPod integration upgrade, but I don't have the 6 Disc changer![Frown](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/sad.gif)
Also how much do you think bluetooth upgrade would be?
If you guys need my car's build date let me know, and also where to find it. Thanks

Hi,
Have a look in the "parta, accessories and mods" section, there have been many discussions about upgrading / retrofitting these options. But just a quick summary;
1) Anything is possible if you have the funds to do it
2) The funds required to do it are usually extortionate
3) Most people, once finding out the cost and effort involved, give up and order a new car with the options they want!!
iPod adaptor would probably be your cheapest mod ... I'd guess $500 or so minimum.

Thanks for your help. I'll go search in the mods section. But judging from your reply, these mods are out of my price range, ![Getlost](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/getlost.gif)
Maybe the iPod though, I HAVE to listen to music.

For example, I just retrofit my 525D with voice control. The car had already NAV pro and the hardware (mike, switch, wiring) cost me around 70$ (50?). I did the mod myself but needed the software key to unlock the CCC (It's not plug & play).
The dealer asked me about 630$ (450?) for the code & its implementation.
