Can anyone, tell me any info about the car. As far as the specs goes i know 'em all, but i want to know about the problems with the car if there is any that i should be aware of before getting it? because its going to be my daily driver car.
Thanx.

Welcome to the forum.

What do we think? We think it is a kick ass car. Problems are nothing major to report on the 06 550s yet. Acceleration is up slightly from the 545s, the 06 has some new features compared to the 05 545s. Overall they are great cars.

What specs do you need to know? Your biggest decisions will be what options and what transmission and what color. I personally am going to get the SMG on my 06 when I order it in January.

WHOA!! It can't be a daily driver... Needs to be garage kept at all times.

No, the car is great. I have a 545 and must say I have been very pleased with my purchase. The V8 is an all around great choice, even better I assume with the 4.8. The car drives like a dream and handles the roughest nightmares. I honestly haven't had any REAL problems with my car.
I have had it in service for:
A rubber diaphram in the engine went out and made a whine evertime I turned it off.
The moonroof brackets scraped together when I would close it from the vent position.
That about rounds it out for all my problems. I am quite sure you will get a bunch of people expressing their misfortune. If not the forum is filled with them. But I don't believe I have seem anything that would deter me from purchasing.

Best of Luck with your future purchase White Fest!

I would suggest you get yourself a big cup of joe, a nice fast Internet connection, and then sit down and read through the many, many posts on this board. Do this for a 3 to 4 hours, and then if you still have questions feel free to post.

Most of the issues (good and bad) have been discussed thoroughly.

Oh, and, welcome!

Welcome WF. I love my 545i. Minor problems, but only what one generally would expect from a high-tech new car. Go to BMW NA and then follow the 5-Series tab to the 550i. You'll be able to read/download an informative 550i brochure.
