That whole battery tender setup looks kind of cheesy....The hood switch is on the passenger side by the cabin filter housing. All you have to do is take the plunger switch and pull it up gently. you'll feel a little click. This is a service mode for when the hood is open. You can activate and deactivate the alarm like this.
