But crickets was saying after 60K 120k is a long way from 60K. There are more that make it to 180K than not, I am sure. Besides, I thing that we should think in time spent at temperature, not distance IOW, how many driving hours.

My tank has also started to leak at 106K miles. And it is most likely because southern climates are hotter in general, which tends to wear out anything plastic or rubber on these cars sooner than the north.

My water pump also went bad a few years ago.

Try posting in the classifieds. You're probably better off just buying one online at a myriad of parts websites. The Behr model is the same as the OEM BMW tank for much less $$.
