In the US:
Anthracite Headliner - 775
$465 wholesale
$500 MSRP
I ordered this in the US on my 550i Carbon Black with Black leather and anthracite bamboo trim (sense the pattern?).
Car landed in NY last Friday and is now at the VPC; hopefully I can pick up this weekend and show some pics.

Why do you like the feeling of a smaller cabin? Or do you like it for another reason? I?ve been on the fence about this but worried it might darken the cabin too much as well as make it feel smaller.
The back seat passengers might feel otherwise, but I've never asked.
IMHO, I don't find it to be a defining feature of the car, and I really don't notice it on a daily basis. I would think it would be visually interesting with a grey interior, but I'm not sure it's value is worth $500.

My Ride: E60 525d M-Sport Saloon M57N2 3.0d LCI
EXTERIOR: Jet Black, ///M-Aerodynamic Bodystyling, ///M-Rear Spoiler, De-badged, Gradual Tint Windscreen, ///M-Double Spoke 172M 19" Alloy Wheels (with non-run flats & space saver spare wheel) & ///M-Sports Suspension;
INTERIOR: ///M-Steering Wheel, Black Dakota Leather Heated Sports Seats with Electric Lumbar Supports, Brushed Aluminium Interior Trim & Anthracite Headlining.
The Anthracite Headlining is something that I have had a lot of comments over from passengers in the past few weeks since getting my car. Almost without exception people have commented on it upon getting in the car for the first time (must say it wasn't the first thing I noticed but......) and the general consensus is that most people like it and think it goes well with the M Sport theme.

As others have stated, the anthracite liner is indeed a slighty fuzzy, felt-like material, in contrast to the woven standard material.
The car does not feel particularly dark on the interior, and is certainly not noticable when you drive. Size is hard to judge as the E46
is smaller than the E83.
The black headliner is rather striking, particulary with my black-on-black car. I would think the lighter headliner would look out of place on a black car.
On the downside, this thread just cost me $465, as I now want one.

It comes only in one color, waste of money, ? heat transfer, gives a feeling of small interior. For the same amount or little more you can have excellent ceramic tint -xenons- floormatts-PDC-comfort access etc., that may be more practical and useful. Who cares about the roof top. BMW has good roof lining anyway.

Thank you and thanks to my other e60 members who posted on this thread. I am going with the anthracite headliner. It will look beautiful with the black interior.
