Another new 545i Owner
Just wanted to say hi to everyone... I purchased a new to me '05 545i a month or so ago and I haven't stopped driving it since. There are a few things that I want to do to it, but I will take some time to read up about it before I pull out the newbie questions.
This is the first BMW that I have owned and I hope that it will be a great experience. The 545 has a few miles on it, but I have heard that these things can last a long time and it looks like this one was well taken care of.

Thanks Everyone!
Mine had 81k miles on it, but is very solid and doesn't have the squeaks and rattles that most cars with that type of millage has, I did get a 3rd party warranty and I know that most of the time they aren't worth the paper they are written on, but it did give me a little piece of mind. Next one will be a CPO.
My bro has a '04 525i manual. It is nice, but lacks a little something...

Welcome! if you want your 545i last long... make sure you do all the preventive maintenance regardless the computer says.
OIL with filter: every 5000 miles (not 15.000 miles as says the computer)
COOLANT fluid & THERMOSTAT: every 50.000 miles
TRANSMISSION and DIFF Fluids: every 60.000 miles (they says lifetime... oh yeah!)
Spark Plugs: Every 50.000 miles.
IF you have done any of them.. you are good!
Mine has 6 years old and runs like new.
