Was driving this morning with the seat heaters on as it was a little cool. First noticed a burning smell of electrical wiring, then noticed a very hot spot right on my butt. When I got out the seat heater had totally burned a hole in the left side bolster at the bottom, and scorched a hole in my pants.

Took it to the dealer directly to have a look. They do not have a clue what happed and had to schedule an appt. to "see" what the problem is.

Actually thought about leaving the heater on for an extended period of time to see if it will fix all the other electrical problems of the car - PERMANTLY

Damn, the heated seats electrical is probably one of the problems that the new software will fix, hopefully.

They have to replace you with another seat for sure, and, maybe, your paints, too
Just another recall for cold package ? Bummer!

good thing it wasn't hot enough to catch your pants on fire ! now you can tell them you have a burn mark on your butt and won't be able to take the gq photo shots . compensation time !

Sorry to hear about that.

That is strange. Never thought that something like this will happen...
