i have 08 535i with the ca package,i know if i put my thumb over the key hole i can lock it but is there any way to have the doors lock by them self if i have the key in my pocket and walk away?

 

Good question...I have thought about this also. I wish when I walked away, the doors would lock automatically. It would save me from having to fumble around when getting out of my parked car in the morning at the office...carrying briefcase, cellphone, bottle of water, and door access key...hitting the lock button on the key can be challenging carrying all of this stuff at the same time. Sometimes when getting out of the car in the morning, I keep thinking to myself that I must look like an episode of Mr. Bean being all clumsy!!!

 

my buddy has an 07 530i and he can walk away from his car and it will lock automatically.but ive tried it over and over and it wont do it on my car

 

It is called COMFORT EXIT and BMW should have this feature with COMFORT ACCESS

 

so your saying this is to different packages? comfort exit and comfort access?
