Hi guys,

I've got a UK 535d MSport with a really bad constend squeaking from the rear drivers side wheel.

The sound occurs not only when breaking, it also happens when im driving, i've heard it up to 40mph.

The car has the service pack and is still under warranty as its under 3 years.

Took to the car to a dealer and they heard the problem then simply told me that the problem is something to do with the rear pads and as i still have 8000k miles until a change they can not fix the problem.

I can see many people here have the problem however fix it by installing aftermarket pads, in my case i cant do this ?

Any suggestions please, i'm stuck ?

Sooo the dealer expects you to put up with noisy brakes until the pads wear out??? What did they think you bought, a Buick??

That's simply not acceptable service from a BMW dealer service department. I don't know how dealerships work in your country but here it sometimes takes a chat with the general manager of the shop to set things straight. If that doesn't work, it's a call to BMWNA for a company rep to intervene.

Exactly mate,

I've told the dealer i want it in writing that they are not fixing the noise and the problem is to be lived with. I told the guy that i paid ?47k for this car brand new, how the hell can he expect me put up with this sound.

Going to the dealer in the monring to collect the letter, then will call BMW direct
