my input, because that is what matters... to me anyway.

those M3 headlights look incredible, the camaro headlights are ilegal, my coworker just bought a G8 GTP or whatever the high end version is. 7-9 MPG around town driving it fairly hard.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. None of those POS's can compare to BMW -- fake AE's or not.
+1 true, life's too short. And look at the bright side (no pun intended), if everyone else didn't copy BMW, they wouldn't have a reason to continually evolve to stay ahead of the competition.

Welcome to the free market. Hopefully, all this competition will force BMW to give us AE's as bright & white they should've been in the first place w/o having to do an aftermarket upgrade.

Interesting comments...thanks guys. I'm with you on the flattery aspect, but when it becomes a dime a dozen, whose going to remember that BMW started this fad other than the BMW enthusiasts? I realize their are many design aspects to the car that complete the big picture, but the e60's headlights are one of the coolest. Now it seems it's losing its unique edge. Too bad the design industry itself has the hardest time pattenting things...

On another note, I think Audi is screwed because it's so easy to put a strip of LED's on the front of your car. But Audi screwed itself...instead of keeping it for the more coveted cars like the R8 and the S6, they slapped it on their whole lineup. Oops!

Ah whatever, let's just put 'em anywhere. Come and get 'em!

Are those CCFL technology? How many watts are they?

I think its ok if range rovers have AEs, I mean didnt BMW design that car anyway?
The E39 M5 is such a beautiful car. To me, it's just about the best looking BMW sedan ever built.

I have angel eyes on my VR6 GTI. Yes it's an imitation of a style that BMW started, but it's certainly better than putting M badges on a non-M BMW, or putting 550 badges on a 525. More importantly, they're Hellas with projector low beams and "free form" high beams. They light up the road far better than the old stock lights did. Soon I will move up to an E60, but meanwhile I want to see the road at night!

Angel eyes or not, the new Camaro is an ugly car. I realize I'm pretty much the only one who thinks that.

+1. if you don't take into account the E34 M5. IMHO, the E34 was true to BMW design. Even today it still looks awesome. The E39 also is very nice. No gimmicks needed to make it stunning. E60 got bastardised by that tw@t that came over from Fiat. Thank god he has gone.

cheers

If I could get my hands on a rebuilt E34 M I would buy one in a heart beat if I had the money.
