I totally missed the Taste of Chicago!! I didn't even know it was going on until after I got there, then my friend told me. I would have extended my stay however I've got another vacation going on July 7 - 14th and I really need to get some work done before the next one. This Michigan/Chicago road trip was kind of a last minute type thing. Next time, next time!

The v8 screams for open road!!! In the city, it's just another car, but on the highways and interstates, it's one nice drive. Not to diminish your sensation, but imagine what those supercar owners feel about their big block v8s, v10s and v12s.

Ohh my, indeed! There was so many instances where the two lane road (I-80) was completely open on both lanes ahead for miles. I just wanted to floor it but for fear of cops I didn't except once or twice. *grin*

Man, that's hitting the nail on the head all right! It's hard to control and resist the temptation to want to do so each and everytime we find some decent open road. The sound and feel under full throttle is simply intoxicating and mind bogging music!!! Short of a race track, it's tough to resist indeed. BEST REGARDS

Taste of Chicago was great like always. Tons of fun every year. Don't miss it next time, especially when the weather is so nice

I thought I got some AMAZING gas mileage. The gas mileage for my entire trip was 25.8 mpg. During my regular city driving I'm usually getting ~16 mpg. I looked at the stats and the official highway mileage is 26 mpg so we're right on the button there. I just really find it amazing. Ohhh yeaahhh baby!!
I just took my beast on it's first road trip under my ownership and it was a dream. The more I drive it the more I fall in love, if that is possible. I also get the same mileage, highway vs. city, and was wondering why such a big variance? Based on the 16 around town I was only expecting 22 on the open road. I guess the V8's sweet spot is roaring along at 75-80.

We just drove "only" 400 miles in 2 days.
26.4 mpg, not too bad.
Everything else very comfortable.

The only really annoying thing was the Navigation. Why in the world is the fast route 45 miles longer and 21 minutes longer than the short route?
This was only one instance and it happened over and over again.
Why is the short route not the shortest route?
The systems routing was awful. Closer to home (coming back), it wanted me to make some really strange detours.
