My AM reception was greatly improved after I complained (after already being upgraded to 13.2) and had the following repair.

"BMW Servie Measure: remove third brake light assembly and perform bulletin measure B65 212 04
FP-NUMBER DESCRIPTION
65-20-6-958-359 TRAP CIRCUIT

I was told it had soomething to do with impriving the ground of the system. It has helped.

Hmmm... I'm going to ask my dealer about all this. I have had the AM radio thing since I got the car a few months ago and it drives me nuts. I listen to Sports Talk radio a lot.

They are ordering some new cable or harness thing that was supposed to help with this. But it is currently backordered. They did upgrade my software to 13.something and it has not helped at all. I also get popping noises alternating between speakers at louder volumes on all audio sources.

I need to ask my dealer about all this. This is good info. My car has been into the dealer 5 times about this.

I noticed a marked improvement in both AM and FM reception after V13.3 and the BT retrofit. Maybe the software or maybe because they connected the Fibre optic cable.

I think all our cupholders will suddenly break...? ?

Not so fast...I had my 2005 cupholders "fixed" and while a standard coke can fits nice and snug now, any tall and narrow sized cups, like most American fast food 20 ounce cup, still does not fit snug and leans when you turn....

I'd be interested to hear differently in case the did not properly fix mine.

My wife doesn't allow eating or drinking anything but bottled water in the car. With the light grey interior, I guess she's right.

I has a very similar concern which I posted on another board last week.? Here is the link:? http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76106

I haven't heard from the BMW rep as promised in the thread.

A BMW rep contacted me today regarding the problem. He said he was going to consult with someone with familiarity with the subject and get back to me. I'll post when I get a solution, or if I don't.
