I DID IT!!! WOOOOW!!.... This weekend I went ahead and tackled the alternator bracket gasket job. This is the most intensive and time consuming job i have ever done on a car in my life. The most difficult thing I ve done on my car is spark plugs; What a leap! Job took me a full 24 hrs I started at about 8pm saturday and finished at about 9pm sunday. When I did get under there it seemed like it was not as much oil as i anticipated. In my opinion it was not the alternator gasket that was leaking seal still seemed to be somewhat soft and there was any oil in that area, of course I changed it anyway. My problem was coming from the upper timing cover in one of the corners. Had the seal anyway like Stephen Max suggested and replaced it. Cleaned everything up with brake parts cleaner. I pieced it back together no left over parts
