New member here. I have a 2007 550i sports package (will post pics after wheels are installed). First BMW after 25 years of ownership of 3s and 5s that sports a V8,loving it. My question is, I'm moving up to a set of 20" wheels (front 8.5" ET 20/ rear 9.5" ET 20)and would like to protect the wheels a little more than a 30 series front and 25 series tire in the rear. Would a 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear fit without any problems of rubbing? The height difference is around 3/4" taller. Shouldn't be much of a problem for the rear but the front looks a bit tighter.

Thanks

Hi.

The tyre setup that you are asking for is a very common setup. Will it rub or not, depends on so many things, and it can't be commonly 100% said. I'm sure members who are running those sizes with those (or near) offsets and wheel widths, will chime in and tell you more.

I personally believe you'd be ok, but you could go 235/35 R20 in front too.

yea, there are too many factors to give u a yes or a no. for comparison sake i am running 20 x 9.5 and 20 x 10.5 in the rear with 245/30/20 and 295/25/20 tires....i had rubbing in the rear even with the really thing (read rubber band) tires back there....but then again, i have the sport packaged and im lowered 2" all around on Eibach springs.

dont be afraid to roll those fenders....i did mine myself with a heat gun, a rubber mallet and a shitload of audacity lol

good luck tho and post some pics when u have them installed.
