For all you SMG drivers...do you prefer shifting using the gearshift o

Yeah same here, no real preference..
Do any of you with SMG, have heated seats?? I don't know of ANYONE that has both SMG and heated seats, and I'm curious as to why we don't.. lol

I mostly use the stick shifter ... probably 80% of the time. 20 years of manual stick shift cars is a habit difficult to break.
But when I really get it going .... both hands on the wheel - paddle shifters only.

The stick shift all the time. Other hand stays on the wheel.
I got SMG with heated seats and steering wheel.

I use a mixture of both, but I'd say a majority of the time I'm using the stick. I drove a stick M3 for 5 years, and out of habit my hand always sits on the shifter.
I too have a SMG with heated steering wheel, and both front and rear seats.

I always drive in AUTO mode.
I have sport on and use both the paddles and the stick. I guess it just depends on what I feel. Though I do use the stick more often.
I have heated seats and steering wheel. If your car was orginally sold in Texas, Cali, Florida, well you get the idea its not really something that is needed so the many people might have skipped over the Cold Weather package.

Slight OT...
in percentage, how often do you drive with sport on? Would driving with sport on put more stress/wear on the clutch?

I don't know a whole lot about the experience you M5 owners have, but can you not do neither shifter nor paddles and just let the car worry about shifting? I don't want to say like an automatic but similar for casual drivers that don't want to worry about shifting?
