Hey everyone.,

I usually use cheap mats to cover my good ones, but was just wondering if I should just replace my current mats with the all-weather ones?

they look pretty decent, but I didn't want to cheapen the look of my car.

Do any of you use them in the summer as well?

That's the first thing I do with a new BMW

Get the rubber trunk mat and the front rubber mats. I typically use the rubber BMW mats year round, unless there is a period of extended dry weather.

Also, cleanup is a breeze. Shake and get off any loose dirt, spray down with 409 and finish with some 303. Then again, I have put the standard carpets into the washing machine with great results.

I have mats with the grooves, not the one with the circles.

i think it is like putting plastic on your sofa. practical... yes, but it looks silly.

I am kind of disappointed, as the regular BMW mats are somewhat hard to clean with the crevices, etc. I uncovered mine a couple of weeks ago and they are now a total mess with rock pebbles, leaf particles, grass. A vacuum job didn't even take care of it all

I have them as a practical matter during the rainy, cold months. They'll be coming out in a few weeks to be replaced by the black carpeted ones. My interior is black and so are the mats. They're the OEM grooved ones from the dealership. They serve a purpose. I don't think they cheapen the look of your car. They're like snow tires--some places you need them, some places you don't. 2 cents.

+1

Only my dealer was sold out of the rubber trunk liner. And like ADD said, cleanup is a breeze! I don't think they look bad, and they are very functinoal. I leave them in all year...nothing wrong with saving the carpets and the carpet mats for when you want to sell.

I use the BMW rubber winter ones in the winter and run with the reg. BMW mats the rest of the year. Mine are black so pretty easy to keep clean. But I've done this with most my cars and have had little to no problem keep my normal car mats looking great.

A must in the winter but I'll go back to the carpet mats pretty soon...they look better. The rubber mats don't have any kind of rubber smell to them and clean up easy but I prefer the carpet for the normal weather conditions...normal being anything but winter.
