they checked that....said that nothing wrong with it....The problem comes from inside the transmission.

Damn bro, I am sorry to hear that this is happening to you. I hope everything works out and please update us on the progress so that us SMG owners can have an idea of what to expect. Thanks!

Today i managed to get the car in 1st gear but the car goes backwards. When i put the car in 2nd gear it jumps to N. I don`t think is the whole transmission. Reading on forums i`ve seen that numerous SMG owners had this problem and even if they changed the tranny the problem was still there after 1000+ km. Some of them fixed the problem by changing the salmon red relay, or fixing the smg pump motor, or slave cylinder.

Like this guy here:

Btw, where is the salmon red relay located on the 2004 530i?

changed 2 relays today.....Salmon and Orange, not much changed (close to $100 from the dealer)
The only difference is that i can get the car in 1 but when i push the gas it goes backwards. If i put the car in D1 and i press the gas jumps to N. If i put the car 2nd jumps to N after 5 sec. Nothing happens if i try R, stays in N.
The SMG pump works fine, i can hear it when i open the car etc.
When i try to put the car in R, it sounds like something is trying to grab on to something else 4-5 times, after that it stops and remains to N.

Next step will be removing and fixing the slave cylinder : DIY: SSG / SMG Leaking Slave Cylinder Repair. - E46Fanatics

Part number #13

also, checkout e46fanatic -- you will get ALOT more help there.

Is there a way on testing the clutch position sensor?
I`ll try to get an audio recording of the sound that comes from under the car when i shift fron N to R and from N to 1.

Ok, so here is an audio recording of my transmission. Up to 30sec is from N to 1. After that you can hear it when it try from N to R.
Not the best quality...but better than nothing.
