Airbag SRS warning 93B2 fault code
Hoping I can draw on some knowledge & input with a problem that I have experienced on my 2005 523i.
I have the dreaded air bag & SRS warning lights on - a diagnostic check has highlighted the following code & fault description:
Air-Bag SGM-SIM (safety & gateway module) (1 fault code)
93B2 - No message (0x5), receiver SIM, transmitter SBSL
- Intermittent
My car has not been involved in an accident or bump, the fault triggered whilst driving at low speed in town.
Any help or guidance on where to start with this would be much appreciated.

Sounds like the infamous BST connector issue. Try cleaning the connector with electrical cleaner before thinking about doing the BST delete.

Thank you for the reply donpd.
I just want to make sure that I am looking at the correct part of the BST - should I clean connector 1 or 2 in the image below (or both?)

Update on this concern:
I disconnected the battery and put it on charge. Both ends of the BST connector were sprayed with WD40 contact cleaner and everything was re-connected.
Fault was cleared using Delphi diagnostic tool - i've used the car daily now for one week, the problem appears to have gone away.
Thank you donpd for the excellent advise & support, much appreciated.
