airbag passenger restraint system malfunction
I have the airbag passenger restraint system malfunction warning lamp on. This happened a few weeks ago and the dealer reset the alert without any fixes.
After a few weeks, the warning lamp alerts again (incidentally in the same stretch of road that’s bumpy).
The dealer is saying the door module is not communicating and this is causing the airbag alert.
My concern is that this may be related to the passenger seat sensor?
It’s strange that the airbag alert came on in the same stretch of highway and I have driven hundreds of miles since the original warning reset a few weeks ago.
Any suggestions? I have no other perceived issues with the ‘door module not communicating’ report.
many thanks

Only proper way to diagnose airbag/passenger restraint system errors is to get the code.
Very likely, the technician at the dealer used the code reader and that's how he came to the conclusion that particular module is bad. Did you pay for the diagnosis? If so, you can ask for the print out of the diagnosis with the code. Get the code and go from there. Do you have any specific reason to not believe the dealer's diagnosis?

WELL, the door module was replaced; however, the same airbag passenger restraint system malfunction came back.
I've read some notes that the sensor recall may produce this alert. Dealer has said nothing about this. I also have the comfort seats which I read that the comfort seats may not have the bad sensor issue.

Go and buy a 30$ cable and read the fault codes with INPA and than paste them here so we can help you. Without any codes we can't help you, because we are not mediums, or at least I'm not
