These polls show, among other things, how much more affordable cars are in the US.
If you did this just for Australia (and many Euro countries I guess) the average age group would be much older because a 525i starts at about US$95k on the road here and the 550i runs about US$185k (M5 is about US$240k). The average adult male wage is about US$60k per annum.
Not too many young guys can afford that sort of money for a car.

I also wonder how some of the younger folks here can afford what they spend on their cars. I have always spent more that "average", but I didn't have that much when I was younger even with a good job or even now I "only" have a 530(and I'm in the over 40 group).
