I've seen people posting on other boards recently that the dealer said they're getting it but then after it's downloaded, it ends up being some flavor of version 11.
As far as the UK guest currently getting version 13, I'm not giving that one much weight either. Even if 12 was released a few weeks ago, and I'm betting it wasn't, I can't see them bumping the number to 13 this soon.

I think you may be right in that it's more likely that you're getting something like 11.13 than 13.x.
Before you leave the dealer, ask them to give you a printout of the "vehicle history report." This may be the only real proof as to what version you have. Even with this report however, I've seen much confusion over what all the numbers mean.
It's clear that there is no way for you (or any end-user) to determine what version of software is on the car without connecting the car to the BMW DIS system at the dealership.

Just got my car back today from my software upgrade. Seens that it was only V.11.3 and not V.12. Good thing is my Voice Activation is working now 
. They say that V.12 will not be out until July or Aug.

could you please check if your v11.3 fixes the problem with the CD-player not stopping to play, but just mute if you swith it of either with the on/off button or the assigned steering wheel button. It is a known bug in v11.2 that the CD only mute and cotinues to play if turned off.

To be honest with you I think that they only added some module to make my voice activation work. I think the version that I had was not changed I already had V11.3
