I found this car and wondering if some of you can chime in and tell me if it's a good buy?

2008 BMW 528i
sport package
white/beige
58k on odometer
CPO vehicle
from dealer (Shelly BMW in Buena Park, California)
looks pretty clean inside and out

They have it advertised at $24,995.

Carfax shows that it had it's regular maintenance and oils done.

It's gone through 3 owners already. 2 leases and 1 personal.

Nothing really stood out, except that carfax did mention that they did an "instrument cluster check", whatever the heck that means. Why would they need to do that?

Oh, and it's had 2 "4 wheel alignments" within the last 20k miles.

what do you think i could offer to the dealer without sounding like a total newbie to the car buying game?

I bought a car from them and would never again! They are terrible! Car might look nice on the picture but in person to any "serious" BMW owner they are crap!

Take the car to Coast Motor Werk 949-474-4555, address at 3070 Main St, Irvine, CA for a full inspection first to get list of all the needed repairs and then have all the repairs done under warranty at the dealer

Are you saying that they are bad at selling cars (i.e. bad customer service) OR they sell bad cars (lemons)?

The car had undisclosed scratches, 2 dents which I didn't notice right away and they would not honor any fixes. Since I am from the Bay area they got me pretty much by the balls. The car didn't look like that had the 2-3 grand CPO process they talk about when you trade your car in. My 335i was in a better and cleaner shape then the 535i I ended up buying with 12K miles Live and learn. Never buy from Shelly BMW.

i love the alpine white, but hate the beige interior.

I got my 2008 528i 6spd manual, sports package, premium package, and navigation with 51k miles for $26,995 to give you an idea.

Laci535i: sucks that they didn't want to fix the dents, but maybe if you found them during initial inspection and pointed it out, they may have?

Mo858: What did you pay out the door? If it was 26995 plus tax, lic, fees, regs - then getting my car for $25500 out the door would't be too bad?

I already offered them that, but still waiting for his reply.
