Advice on new car (UK members)
Not really. The new 320d is taxed at only 17% of it's list price which is significantly better than the 530d model I currently have (not Euro 4 compliant). I will save a lot of money in tax.
I've decided to go with a 320d SE to the following spec: -
Dakota leather ? light yellow
Metallic paint ? Titanium Silver
Steptronic auto
Multifunction control for steering wheel (phone & hi-fi)
Sports steering wheel
Light alloy wheels 17" style 158
Exterior mirror package
Exterior parts in body colour (door handles etc)
Grad tinted windscreen
Luggage compartment package
Floor mats in velour
Interior and exterior auto dimming mirrors
Through loading system
Sports seats
Interior trim in aluminium
Armrest front, sliding
Park Distance Control front & rear
Rain sensor/auto lights
Interior lights package
Voice control
Bluetooth interface
6 disc cd changer
Hi-Fi loudspeaker system
Sun protection glazing
I should get it sometime in March.

Nice.
I had a trip out in a GTi with a DSG paddle contraption today, it was very very good indeed, as good as the TT, no real torque steer or understeer as previously mentioned.
Still think I'll wait for the 3 series though. I'm not sure why, the interior in the Golf was much nicer than most current BMWs....
