address book in navigation

Hello again all,
Have been familiarizing myself with my new-to-me 530i, and have a question for everybody :
When I'm adding names in my address book, they do not appear until I power-cycle the car (switching off the ignition and switching it back on).... is this normal?? (it shouldn't be??? my E53 and E38 don't have this problem) ...
Still can't play MP3
after my stealer "supposedly" upgraded my CIP .....

No, it's not normal. It should be saved in you address book right away.
