I'm really sick and tired of FM Radio, and my car did not come with Satellite Radio. What would it take to add Satellite radio? FYI, i currently have the navigation package with the larger screen.

Your car came with Sat prep as standard so it is an easy install. The unit goes in the trunk, drivers side. You'll have to check around for pricing as some dealers charge a ridiculous fee to install, some not so bad. The unit itself is roughly $400 then add in install and coding (roughly 1.5 hrs)...

I took the short cut (cheap route) and basically got a portable xm radio from Sirius/XM. The unit has an auxiliary input so it was easy to pipe the sound through the existing stereo system and I've plugged mine into the cigarette light for power and the unit comes with it's own antenna which reminds you of a little hockey puck. This is a temporary solution and I plan to purchase an XM receiver from the dealer or from a company called mObridge that offers satellite recievers for BMW. mObridge is the only company that I've found outside of the dealer that offers a reciever that is suppose to integrate with the BMW audio system.

Save your $$ and get an Aux port or iPod connection. I had Sirius for 3 years and got REALLY bored, same friggin songs over and over - only difference? No commercials to break up the monotony. Get an iPod and be done with it
I was so frustrated with the programming on Sirius that I asked for a refund on my 3 yr plan (recently purchased) and went and got an iPod Nano with video

I have the plug and play sat radio as well. U can save some money and go to best buy or some like that and have them hardwire it n. That way u can get the stations n clear. A lot of times xm/sirrus has sales on radios.
