Well I will be purchasing the M5 sport body kit and it has the bumpers that support PDC, at the time of install can I add PDC or is it not possible? I would assume that I would need to have the iDrive re-programmed.

After getting the bumpers and sensors what other parts are needed and any clue as to how much it would cost to add PDC?

The M5 sport body kit is $2200

Peace

PDC is available as a dealer installed accessory (from the accessories catalog) but I think the one they install is only on the rear and I don't think it integrates with the iDrive screen for visual warnings.

This was discussed a while ago here -- you might want to search using the term "PDC*"

I installed my PDC after collecting the car. It is for both front and rear and comes with idrive visual. Dealer will program the idrive.

OUCH! Ebay usually has a cheap version for the DIY. Gives you audible from rear sensors drill or stick on. If I recall correctly, About $40. Yeah, I'm frugal...

At that price, they better get it right. It took them a long time till Nov to sort this out. Was told need to order the right stuff from factory when the car is ordered. True or false, it's too complicated and expensive for me. I stick to after market version which came free from my sales. (cheaper than the U$40 quoted. )
