Not having original Sat Nav from BMW, I used my faithfull Tom Tom from my last car.
I used a standard 3rd party BMW bracket of which there are lots of vendors and because I didn't want to interfere with existing wiring, I simply used the torch charging socket and an used an old torch bought on ebay, which I gutted to convert it to a plug!
I hid the wiring behind the consol, so a simple cheap Sat Nav solution for any add on product.
Regards
Trevor

I hate to tell you, but BMW makes the exact same thing. It cost $9.50 (PN: 82 11 0 004 073)

At least everyone is aware of this now.
One advantage is you can push the wire through the console then fix the end of the plug on, as I had to cut the wire again to feed it through!
