I have a 04 525d with adaptive lights and wonder if anyone can tell me if it is correct that the lights turns right when the weels turn right but not when the weels turn left?

Have searched the forum but can not find any related treads.

Just found/joined the forum a couple days ago and have already spent countless hours reading. Thanks for a great forum.

When the car is not moving, the lights only turn to the right. Once you are driving the lights will swivel both directions, assuming they are functioning correctly. If they only turn to the right while the car is in motion, something is not right.

.

Does this happen on the road while travelling or when you check the system and the car is not in motion?
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the adaptive light functions correctly when the car is being driven.

Edit: Kscarrol is just too quick!

Yes, you have to put the switch on AUTO, then the lights will move when turning the steering wheels. I have checked this many times and I think if the car is not in motion, the light only turns to the right and won't turn to the left. While in motion, it will turn left..

+1 on that, when I first got the car I was also worried about the lights when I tried them at standstill. Anyway, to add to that.. anybody notice that if you can only adjust the lights height together (low and high beam). I tried to adjust the high beam as I think its on the low side but then the low beams would also be adjusted to the high side... anybody has the same problem?
