My Ride: 2008 550i Alpine White
It's auto leveling. Depending on how ur headlights were turn off it self adjust. If it doesnt swivel l/r its already set..Updated softwares don't do swing left anymore due to blinding oncoming traffic. Try parking it on a uphill or downhill, shut off and it will self adjust/level again

my 2009 550i at startup go different ways 
driver side goes up and passenger side goes down then, they level out in the middle??
They function just fine, precise with the steering wheel and the green light isn't blinking it stays on solid. I did find it weird though, I used to have a 545i that used to level out the normal way. Anyone have any idea why mines go different directions?
