It's fixed... I think! At last!

I replaced the AHL module part number 61 35 6 934 837 and the flashing green LED is gone!

It's been so long though, I forget what exactly is normal operation. What it does now:

1. Rotate the switch counter (anti) clockwise and green LED comes on... steady green LED.
2. Rotate the switch clockwise and no green LED comes on at all.
3. The part I put in had a p/n of: 61 35 6 934 837. The p/n I removed is: 6 934 122. Does one supersede the other. Which one supersedes which?

Also, can someone tell me why I can pull and extend the headlight switch from its housing? I still have full functionality but can't figure out why I can do this... what is it designed to do?

Been there. A bit confusing as to which one superseded the other.

I did notice that in auto mode, the green light (and head lights) go out in the day light and come on in the dark (or in the garage).

I think that if anyone else is dealing with this issue, they may want to go directly to this module. I bought a second hand module and it worked right away... no programming needed.

I am glad I reinsulated the head light wires while I had them out trying to figure this thing out.

To be perfectly clear on this...

If anyone happens to get the error code:

E-519 LM No Message (road speed, 1A0)

The very first thing I would do:

Check your headlight housing wiring to make sure the wiring insulation is not crumbling. If it is; fix it!

When the wiring insulation is fixed; then:

Replace the AHL module part number 61 35 6 934 837.

Fixing these two items restored my AHL.

Good luck!
