It took me some time (L7 volume too loud I suppose ) to pinpoint this one, but my active steering is making some strange clicks when I turn left.

It happens at least 50% of the left turns I make, and I'm almost sure it wasn't there before getting the heavier steering with the latest s/w u/g.

Any of you guys had this ? Was the dealer able to solve it ?

Cheers.

Yup. Got that annoying sound. Try these posts. I know how to reproduce it. Let me know if you get your's fixed, my dealer fixed something that wasn't broken when I complained about this (the right front control arm).

No noises when steering left but I did experience for the first time a clicking (almost "grinding") sound from the right front corner upon "wake up".
I think I remember someone posting about that but I couldn't find it using search.
Never heard that before.
Later that morning I heard what sounded like a loose belt squeeking and a rather foul odor (from the car, not me ). All seems fine now.
Hmmmmmm.....

Thanks acribb, the steering noises really seem old news on the board.

Well, I've just got a phone call from parts dept to notify that my aux output kit and the new MY2005 wood center console arrived, so I'll make an appointment with the dealer and will mention the steering noises.

I'll post the results...

And here's the update:

They say that the problem came from the front stabilization bar, ordered a new one.

They also say that the ACC failure error had the same cause (faulty stabilization bar).

Car is at the dealer now, hope to pick it up on monday.

I'll be back

Cheers.
