I have it on my car and i can't say if i like it or not.
I personally dont mind it, its a personal preference type of them.
It feels kind of artificial at first, when u get used to it , its just a bonus to help u drive better
I wouldn't say i can't live without it, but its definitely a convinient option to have.

Well, I have AS on my 550i and you really forget how great of an option it is till you drive a car without it. Today I dropped my car and got a 328 and that steering felt so heavy and hard to turn. I guess if i never had then I would not have known any better, good option IMO.

The first 550 I drove had it. I did not notice it. Then I drove a 550 without it and WOW what a difference! As mentioned, the only issue is getting into a car without it - then you realize what you are missing.

Extremely useful on a car this size.
Especially appreciated in tight parking/parking lots and parallel parking situations.

True, I get out of my car and drive my wife's current model VW Golf and it feels like a truck in comparison. You have to turn the wheel so much further to negotiate roundabouts and normal around town driving compared to the AS E60. Once on the open road I wouldn't mind a bit more weight to it though.

Once you have it you will not want to go back...i love it

On a not so bright a note i had two majour problems with AS on mine car, firstly the control unit (not sure if this is th right term) was faulty and had to be replaced (5.5K ) and then the unit that sits on the rack that controls the ratios failed (3.5K )......thank god for warranty
