So I have 2007 550 with 77,000. I'm replacing second Active stabilizer under the warranty, because it's leaking slow, well it?s like a little wet on the cylinder. Each unit around is 1,400 dollars. Maybe because it was a new technology back 2006, so the seals were used is not as good as 2009 +. It's leaking under seal where shaft entering to cylinder.
My suggestion to everyone is to check while under warranty. Just crawl underneath the car and touch the cylinder, if it wet then it?s ready for replacement.

No I didn't find yes. I think this thing is sealed in factory at least I've never heard

am i seeing things right? this guy glued and clamped both ends of the rubber boot? thats the side that rotates isn't it? as soon as he drives it, he'll rip his boot.

 

it's not rotated, it's twisted and not a lot. I guess it works for him.

 

when driving, the roll bar is active, and that large coupling twists the bar coming out one end. one side is fixed and the other side is designed to twist.

I've had mine leaking for 6 months and dreading the $2500 bill. My leak is very slow and usually won't see anything on the floor. I've just made sure the power steering is full until I need to replace.

 

did you ever spray brake cleaner on there to see where exactly the leak is coming from?
on my car, one of the two main lines going into the sway bar coupler, works loose a bit and causes a small leak. i've had to snug it up a couple of times. i guess with the bar in motion, it can cause one of the lines to work loose.

 

The dealer said it was leaking, and there is oil build up around the area.
