Hey Guys,

Can anyone help, just bought a 2004 530i and the radio will not tune despite it trying to but just not picking up a station. I also have a problem with the CD player which will not allow me to select CD from the entertainment menu, to play CD's from the CD shuttle.

I have seen on another forum that the radio issues could be the amplifier, and I can find an amp on Ebay for £30. But does anyone have a second opinion, and are the CD and Radio issues interlinked potentially? If it is the amp, any idea on where the amp is located on the car, and this a straightforward job?

If the issues are interlinked, is it easier to replace the entire CD, Radio unit?
