It's nice to know it works well on uncrowded highways (which was always my assumption) so now, all they need to do to make it worthwhile is add a feature that disables it and makes it like a normal cruise control for those times when you would like to use it that way...

Exactly.. As you know from my post in the main thread for this topic, that is what happens to me in NJ hence the "NJ mode" as you suggested.
