Default accessory controlled wire (08 528 xi)

i am adding a 4ch amp and cant find a switched wire to act as a remote turn on. I have tested the fuses in the trunk
and the small hifi amp in the trunk.
i found a ignition wire that is only on when the car is on and off when the car is off.
Tecnic sells a harness that will allow you to add a sub amp and provides a remote lead but since i will not add a sub i really did not want to spend $85 just for that.

The cigarette lighter is not a accessory controlled circuit its a ignition controlled circuit. The car has to be on all the time, not really what i want.

It is an interesting point. What exactly is accessory controlled in this car. The radio is never "off", it is only muted. I'm thinking that as long as the lighter isn't on when the key is out, then you are ok. You might also put the meter on the amp fuse that is listed in that other thread. I don't know if that circuit is only energized with accessory or if the amp itself has the power switch. If the amp fuse behaves like accessory, you are good to go there and it has a lot of amperage also.
