Hello fellow E-60 folks-

Our car has gone nearly a year without an unscheduled maintenance trip. However, this past Friday, we get in the car, and it seems like a bottle (or gallon) of water is in the AC vents. Ironically enough, when we crank it up high (As 100 degree Dallas days would have you do) you can actually feel water droplets hitting you.

Has this happened to anyone before, and if so- how do I get the water out of the freakin' system?

It's not condensation- unless it's a LOT of condensation...

Help!
---------------------------

Also, I got my headlight bulb replaced, and found that the bracket holding both headlights on (from the top) are broken? The lights are solid, I guess the bottom brackets are holding tight. IS this normal, was there a recall on this? FInding one already broken seems like a one off. TO find them both broke in nearly the same place, says "defect" to me.

It is not un common for any ac system to get the drain plugged up. The evaporator collects water and should drain under the car. You may have to pull the panel but the rubber hose for the ac drain should be obvious from there. Just blow some air into there and it should start coming down like a water fall.

The smell is not sweet right? If it is, check your coolant level. Hopefully the heater core is not bad.

I haven't smelled anything yet.

I had a feeling it was the drain plug/hose, but I have no clue where to look to check it.

The AC is still cold enough to make me (a person who prefers the cold) put it on the first tick mark, once it cools the car off (AC got pretty impressive once the compressor was replaced last year- (it was a (perceived) punk before that)).
