AC Expansion Valve

anyone know where the expansion valve is located? 64116921051 is the part number. Is it located behind the glove dept?

Follow the ac pipes through the firewall.

Often just on the other side - but BMW goes out of their way to make the AC as hard to fix as possible.

You can get to it via the engine bay but if the torx head strips out the you will have to remove basically the entire interior the get to it. Personal experience on my 05 lol
