Here are some pics of my 2004 530i. Mystic Blue has a different hue depending on the light.

Thanks bmuu, much appreciated. The colour of your E60 is fantastic, do you get problems with fine paint swirls after a few cleans? The carbon black is not great for this, but not too bad.

I saw an M5 yesterday in blue - no idea which blue though but looked similar. It looked good but, as someone mentioned, it doesn't look quite as 'menacing' as black. I like the fact that people move when they see you approaching

Thanks, UrbanDriver. I do see some swirls in the paint, but not too bad. I agree with the post that this color doesn't look good when dirty, so plan on putting in the effort to keep it clean. I like the idea of having a color different than most (i.e. silver gray). My father in-law has a silver gray e60 and I didn't want to copy him.

Good luck with your decision.

As everyone else has said there are no problems with 6'3" in an E60. I went the safe way and opted for no sunroof and have heaps of headroom.

My car is also Mystic Blue.

Thanks Bruce and all others too. I went up to the dealers yesterday and saw the car. The Mystic Blue car is getting my money today, just getting my negotiating head on as we speak.... trying not to be excited about having a 535D!!!

Also had an insurance quote, BMW insurance is cheapest for the new car. The quote for a 535D M Sport is less than it was for my 520D M Sport...I will never understand insurance

Thanks again to all, wait for my next post - sig will have to be changed!
