recently i can only lock and unlock my car while like pretty much standing next to it
so im guessing the key fob battery is dying, cant see how u replace it though
any ideas ?

its not necessarily the key fob battery, so ive read. Have a quick search ... it was in a post quite recently.

its doing a pretty shit job of recharging LOL
forgot i had a spare, so tried that and its perfect works how id expect it to
so just using that lol
im guessing the battery can only be recharged so many times before it starts been a bit shite

isnt the service data stored on the key?, i started using my spare when i got my car and was worried it would alter the service data

The car writes service data on to the key, not vice-versa, so it doesn't matter which key is used. A rarely used key will get an update of any service information when you use it.
