I know the 750 isn't a 5, but my point is the engine upgrade that will be coming to the 550. I'm not sure how much was the new engine, or how much was the fact that I was a 7, but the acceleration was much smoother than my 545. It was fun to drive, especially at high speeds, but I would really miss active steering though.
BTW-I was planning on ordering a 550 today, but the dealer didn't have the info yet.

[/quote]Kinda embarrased to admit I've never actually driven a 745, so that might be it.
I'm not reffering to the ride being smoother, but just in the way it accelerates when I punched it. My 545 has a tendancy to jerk a bit when I floor it from a dead stand still.

I think its more that the car was a 7er. It being heavier and bigger you wont feel the initial "jerk" or "umph" of the engine this being smoother. plus the gearing is different. I've driven a 745 extensivly before and from waht I can remember it was very smooth...
Ya Driving a 745 vs a 750 will tell you.

Just a quick note. Drove the 750 yesterday; great car but not really noticeable acceleration difference relative to the 745. Subtle differences only. Both cars are noticeably less quick than the 545.
