EBMCS03 time for us to trade in our 545i's for 550i's!

Seriously! How much can I get for this expired car with an old engine in it?

Seriously, don't ditch the 545i. It will be a classic one day.
By sides, for the trade up cost, get a supercharger for it from VF Engineering (coming within months). Then those 550i won't know what killed them.
And you'll give the M5 a run for its money.I would never get a 550i since the E550 will kick ass with 387 hp.

You could do what I am doing and end up competitive with a 550i. Yes, I know the 550i could be modded too. But, then the 545i could be modded more. And, then the 550i could be modded more. But, then I could slip and M5 engine in the 545i. But, the same engine could be put in the 550i. Fine, then they'd be even. So, why not do a few $k of mods. I like a stealther anyway.

Do you guys see a lot of 550s? A saw my first one on the road yesterday, but have actually seen more M5s on the road.
Saw two M5s today. Starting to circulate. Hard to miss.

I did but not with a 545.. a 745 with chrome getto rims try to play
smoked came out of his exhaust, i shifted into DS. move to his right and passed him rather easy and started pulling away until i decided it was not safe so i backed down and he continue.. point proved.
so my comments is that in low speeds 40 to 60 thereis a bit more fight from the 4.4L engine but after that the 4.8L is strong and pull away..

...plus the cabrio is way heavier...i've yet to meet any 550i that I could not take...

A 550 should walk you pretty easily. Sorry, but all they have to do is push the pedal to the floor. More HP and Torque per lb. It's just physics.
