It will be nice when we have a few dyno runs on 550's. There is plenty of data on the 335's and just a little on 545's. In stock configuration the 335i (535i) should stay close to a 550i through 2nd gear. At that point the V8 will probably start pulling ahead. The N54 is tuned for very little low rpm turbo lag which hurts it's top end performance. If you flash a 550 and flash a 535, the 535 should have an advantage. Also, 2wd cars are quicker particularly if they are auto transmission cars. Check out dragtimes.com and you will see 335's running from 13.2-13.5 stock, so far not enough data on the 550's. When the 555's come out it will be a whole new ball game where we discuss how tuned 555's stack up against M5's!

Are you talking about your 530 or 335? I do not think you can get much gain from any software on a naturally aspired engine. 10-15 hp at best.

We are planning on going at it again this weekend. My SB is in and "I'm loving every minute of it" (to quote Cosmo Kramer)...We are throwing a CDV in his car to see if there is improvement.

BTW - Not sure why everyone keeps throwing out HP info on this thread...The e60 is heavier, and the 335xi 0-60 is 5.3 w/ the 550 at 5.5...see attached BMW propaganda.

The N54 engine is under rated. Probably making 315-325hp if rated on the smae basis as the 550i. For example, 545's dyno at appox the same hp and tq as 335's. the 4x4 is hurting, not helping the 335x because of the friction within the drive train.
