But, remember, it may not be so much fun if your car gets hurt. A car can get hurt even at pretty tame events, but I am sure you know. But, for example, if someone spins in front of you, then you can end up with lots of paint chips. Be careful (enough).

Congrats. Looks like great fun and your car looks great with those 166s. Nice to hear the 550 handles the track nicely.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing and also seeing the Audi R10 diesels at Elkhart on August 20th. $75 bucks seems like a bargain and must. I should also join the CCA.

Did you take the traction control off at any time on the track? A nice four wheel drift would be divine. I get tempted to do this more and more.

Glad you had such a great time. I took my E46 M3 on the track many times and was curious how my new 550i would do. I have been reluctant to take it out as I thought I would be dissatisfied.

Also, the next track event is in August at Willow Springs Raceway in Lancaster, CA (aka the Mojave Desert). It gets a bit hot.
