edit: note that I am talking about the rear indicators, not the front. I assume the front are yellow/amber...
The other respondent was answering a question about rear indicators too...

Amber? Red? Red? Amber?

In EU there's no choice...

I have a question, is regenerative braking included in March production or starting in June production vehicles?

Yes, in all cars as from start of production

You are such a pain in the ass ABC!! OK, I walked down to my car and looked again: on my USMY08 528i, front indicators flash yellow/amber, side indicators flash yellow/amber, and rear are a bright red. The red looks a bit lighter than the actual taillight, but I'd definitely describe the color as red.

It's crap like this that makes me love this forum as much as I do! And it's definitely contribution time for me--I've certainly taken for long enough....

Interesting . . . bmw093 has a 528i, and GP545iSport has a 550i Sport.

BMWNA has distinguished the 550 Sport from all of the other models in a number of subtle ways. Maybe this is one more?

Note that I have a sport package also, so it may be a 550 thing, but probably not a sport package thing...

It may be a "550 with sport package" thing. It's that combo that BMWNA has made into a near separate model (i.e. differentiated suspention, exhaust, manual shifter, wheels).

I will start with WOW!!!! The LCI is a big improvement from previous E60. I picked up my beast last Thursday and have put on about 400 miles. This is the ultimate driving machine!!!!

Here are my first impressions:

1) MTech sport kit with 172s and space grey is a great combination I must say. My wife talked me out of getting carbon black and glad she did. My last 3 cars were black and the change was worth it.

2) MTech suspension is an improvement over the standard sport suspension. The ride is more stiffer and has a more sportier feel. Twisties watch out!!!!

3) Exhaust enhancement is great and the tips make it very distinctive.

4) The front headlights are a nice improvement, the yellow reflector will take getting used to. The rear brake lights and directional signal are a vast improvement and look a lot more sleeker.

5) Navigation with RTTI is a great combination. It directed me to all the detours during the noreaster, what roadways were closed and if there were any traffic interruptions.

6) Blue Tooth functionality was a very simple. As soon as I sat in the car, it immediately found my blackberry device and asked to be paired. The iDrive downloaded my address book to memory.

7) Comfort seats are a must have. Coming from sport seats with no support, this is a welcome surprise.

8) Active steering is more stiffer and responsive.

9) Shifter is pretty easy to get used to. Press the release button and push up for reverse and push down for drive. The shifter returns to its original position. The DS and M is the still the same.

10) The transmission shift times are much quicker than the previous steptronic. I have not test DS mode yet, waiting for the break-in period to finish to open her up.

I promise to post some pics and some sound clips of the exhaust. It has been raining here for the past 6 days, I will clean her up and post the pics.

It was worth the wait!!!! For those of you still waiting, you know who you are, the finish line is near !!!!!! Good luck and enjoy. I want to see your pics as well.

Haven;t been here for a while since selling my E39 528I. Just want to share my experince with the 335i. I Just place a order for June production on a 2008 550i Sport with similar equipment as my 07 550i Sport, only adding Ipod adaptor and sport auto paddles. Biggest change...automatic transmission. Couldn't live with that SMG tranny anymore, hate to say that SMG in Non M cars was a big mistake for me. Anyways I was told that the new 08 auto uses the same tranny as the new 335, but with different software. So i had to test drive the 335 just to test the tranny. All i can say is the 335 is awesome....Neck snapping addictive power. If i didn't have kids, I would buy one in a heartbeat..Dealer has two of them, one is priced at $44,000. $27,000 less than 550 I just ordered. Sure was tempting......anyways FYI, the 335 is a swesome car. Now just have to wait for the new car ro arrive, hopefully by end of July or early Aug. By the way that mistake hurts big time...in my wallet. Oh well, life is too short to regret. Move on with life.
