Hey denissm, glad you went with Lux.

Have you tried gp thunder 7500 or 8500 and if you can you do side by side comparison (gpthunder or oem on passenger vs Lux on driver side)? I know cameras dont do justice to AE shots in regards to ambience light, but the LUX dont look brighter than my gpthunder shots above?

Thanks!

I had a 5er GT behind me today with his Angel-eyes on as DRLs. Daaaamn they were bright. Easily as bright as Audi/Porsche LED DRLs. I wonder what wattage and K something like those are running at.

Yeah I knew that. Just wondered how bright they were, numerically speaking.

Anyone try comparing the GP Thunders to Trinity's 6W AE's?

The 6w are the same as the ice lite. Not great and I believe our price may be better on them.

These are GP Thunder 7500s on a 2008 535xi.

How can I get the outer rings brighter - so that they are similar to the inner rings - like many of you have on your posts? Thanks.

I want something brighter than gpT for sure, but may not worth it if Lux is not dominantly brighter in full sun for its premium.

I'd like to be clear and set the new BMW LED AEs as the benchmark for brightness and pure white color. So any aftermarket light output and color is to be compared to this for relativity. So what do we speculate or /know if the current aftermarket options for E60 LCI is against the benchmark? Thanks Gene, as always!!

Your gpThunder H8 is installed correctly, one bulb per headlight. We all agree pix dont do justice to how lighting look in person. You can change the AWB (Auto with Balance) on DSLR camera and make the same gpThunder bulb look like 4k, 6k 8k+ and they look MUCH brighter on pix than in person b/c camera evaluates and adjust exposure using the entire view including background light. On our E60's, the outer rings are just fable if you're off center. This where I believe the 3 series e91/92 have the advantage.

i haven't seen the 6w led set of ae's trinity is now carrying for lci ae's but those might be nice.

best options out there IMO:

inexpensive: gp thunders
expensive: lux
hardest to install but best looking in terms of compared to oem led ae's: orion's
