i get 16-17

 

No joke, I managed to squeeze -->28.3<-- non highway MPG out of mine a couple of months ago on my drive from work (30 miles, no inclines, declines) . I KNOW I pissed some people off as I was driving like grandma, but I had a buddy in the car with me and he insistedI couldn't get more than 20 MPG.

Normally I get about 22 MPG between freeway cruising and the usual mash the gas to crush at the merge.

 

Hey guys, new owner here. I have been driving for 4 days. Getting 20.5 mpg accelerating like an average person would. About 40% of that is highway driving.

 

I used to get about 16 out of my 550 here in the Bay Area.

 

I get about 17 miles on daily uses, long drives close to 20 mpg.. I drive aggressive tough..

 

I live downtown Chicago and do virtually zero interstate cruising. If I am getting on the expressway I am throttling the hell out of her because its the only chance I really get to let it rip. In the city I find myself going 0-60 between each light because the car is so fun to let go. I average around 11-12mpg.

 

wow, that's M5 territory there.

 

I get about 15mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway

 

ok im reading and some guys are getting close to 20mpg...why is it that my i-drive screen always reading 10-12mpg even when im driving like an old lady?????????

 

07 550i aggressive driving almost all the time never seen bellow 17, not sure how yo guys get 10 mpg, are you sure you don;t have a leak on your tank ? loll
