Im an curious as to why,since you have the sports pack, your 550 has chrome around the door windows ?

I believe Shadowline trim, even on Sport package for NON-US models, is an option... I don't believe we have that option here in the US though. Sport package comes with Shadowline no matter what here in the US.

Correct me if I'm wrong guys...

The car was brought in as a non M-sport configuration. Hence, the chrome around the door windows. The M-kit was fitted after market, and so was the H&R springs. I don't have the M-sport steering wheel and for $2500 I wasn't going to do it. My previous M-sport 540i had the shadow line trim.

Being a black car, I think the chrome trim makes it look hotter

It adds a nice contrast to the body, as does the wheel.

Thanks for the compliments all. It's truly a beautiful car. I'm being tempted by a black M5 now though....
