Well, I finally decided to see what this car can do from a standstill. Turned off DSC, revved to about 3000 RPM and feathered the clutch enough to not spin too much while laying the hammer down. She painted about 20 or 30 feet of double black stripes on the pavement and grabed second for another 4 or 5 feet of double black stripes. I was pleasantly surprised to see both tires leaving behind equal marks as opposed to just one tire doing all the work.

I am sure I could have melted the tires if I had just dumped the clutch. I am delighted that I got the manual transmission, which is a joy to drive everytime I get in the car.

Just wait until the tires wear a bit. The lack of a limited slip differential will leave just the right rear spinning. Looking like an ass gets old pretty quickly (althought it saves on tire wear).
Gotta get an Emmy (///M) to get a limited slip, apparently.
