Default 545i Exhuast Result

played around with couple different rear mufflers and also straight pipe, it seems that the loudness on all these setups are low to mid range, once the car actually opens up they are all around the same loudness. not very loud.

you would normally expect as the car revs harder it will get much louder.

ive been searching the forum but cant find a intresting post i read couple mnths back.

which resenators are to get the exhuast louder up top?
front two canister style? or year standard 'Y' peice resinator?

thanks again

Zac.

I've done a fair amount of experimentation with the V8's. Here is some media for you so you can hear results of my experimentation.

This one uses a couple glass packs and an X-pipe muffler:

These one uses a couple glass packs and an X-pipe muffler with headers and no catalytic converters:

(on the dyno - loud)

(driving around)

Loosing the cats and going with the headers made one heck of a difference.

In the last video, that launch at the 2:00 mark sounds wicked!!! I see you have the dual exhaust, i was thinking about doing that also.

your car sounds like it definetly moves!
any chance you can post up a pic of your setup underneath please?

ive played around wiht couple different magna flows/ stright pipes and now 3' glass pack rear muffler. sounds good but just when you want it to open up like yours does it doesnt.

im guessing its either the front two canisters or rear Y peice muffler? do you have a single outlet or quad?
